Situated in the southeast corner of Ohio, Hamilton County is the third-most populous county in the state, encompassing 413 square miles of land. The county is composed of 13 townships containing 21 cities, 17 villages and two unincorporated communities. The county seat of Hamilton County is Cincinnati, a major metropolis with many attractions, from renowned restaurants to art museums. Founded in 1790, Hamilton County is named for the first Secretary of the Treasury, Alexander Hamilton.
